Pure, simple, and real creations.

On her website, author Shelly Adams writes: “When Mike and I owned Whitewater Ski Resort, I ran the Fresh Tracks Café and the skiers were constantly begging for the recipes. So with the prompting of my friend Lori McGinnis, I decided to accommodate their wishes and write a cookbook. I thought that after Whitewater Cooks, Pure, Simple and Real was published, my career as a cookbook author would be over. But out-of-town fans and Nelsonites thought differently and were again asking when the second book was coming. Thus was born the second book, Whitewater Cooks at Home.   However, over a great dinner in the fall of 2011, my wise daughter Ali and my very enthusiastic friend Margie reminded me of my mantra… “Great recipes are meant to be shared!” So the result of the dinner that fall was another year of recipe collecting, tweaking and testing and became Whitewater Cooks with Friends.   What this collection of books demonstrates is that cooking great meals doesn’t have to be time consuming or complicated and you don’t need to be a trained chef to make fabulous, healthy and delicious food. These recipes can be prepared with ingredients most of us stock in our fridges and cupboards and can be made in a short amount of time if you have done a little bit of planning and preparation beforehand. And now I am looking forward to Whitewater Cooks with Passion. It has something in it for everyone! When I started Fresh Tracks Café at Whitewater Ski Resort, I had no idea that it would lead to four cookbooks.”

Alison has provided publicity and social media support to Shelly during the launch of her last two cookbooks: Whitewater Cooks – Cooking with Passion and Whitewater Cooks – More Beautiful Food.
